Good Samaritans noticed an injured and matted dog within the streets of Philadelphia and alerted the Animal Alliance of New Jersey. When they arrived at the scene, they were shocked to find the animal badly malnourished and could walk with a lot of difficulty. Fortunately, Izzy was rescued and taken to the Animal Alliance.
Though dogs are highly loved, there are still several who are homeless within the U.S. The Humane Society revealed that around 70 million dogs are homeless within the U.S. Though the rescue programs are being done, it’s only a few of the stray cats and dogs are rescued and taken to a shelter.
Skin and bones are the right words which could have been used to describe Izzy when she was rescued. Doctors had to urgently deal with the open sores and the massive infection she had. That’s when her journey to recovery kicked off.
After a few months of love and care, Izzy was completely transformed. She underwent a remarkable recovery and was able to be adopted by Chloe’s family. Chloe, who is a 5-year old kid has developed a strong relationship with Izzy from the first time they met. She is always happy and that is shown by her tail, which has never stopped wagging.
This is one of those situations where adoption has provided the right answer to desperate situations.
